Sri Lanka is a country that is known to take your breath away but did you know that it can take away your stress as well? If you want to relax & unwind Sri Lanka is the ideal place for you to visit, it has a host of activities to calm you down and relieve you of the stress you accumulate in your busy life. Sri Lanka has always been known for its Ayruvedic medicine, yoga & meditation, things that relaxes your mind and body. Those together with activities such as wildlife safaris, sunbathing and diving will make all that stress and tension melt away and leave you nice and relaxed. When you arrive at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake a representative of our tour service will meet you. Depending on your arrival time you will then be taken to your hotel either in Negombo or directly to Sigiriya where you can get some rest for the night.
At the earliest we will travel to the world-famous rock fortress of Sigiriya. This is a journey that will surely test your cardio and fitness but the view from the top of the fortress is breathtaking. The ancient architecture is sure to blow you away as well. After a tiring day we will go to our hotel where you can get Herbal spa treatments to relax your body.
This is your second day at Sigiriya. Today you can experience the Sigiriya Village Experience tour where you can get a feel for the real Sri Lanka rurual lifestyle.
We will leave the hotel early and travel to the city of Kandy and also visit the Dambulla Rock Temple on the way. Kandy was the capital of the last kingdom of Sri Lanka. Nestled in the hill country it is the home to the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic of the Lord Buddha. We will visit the Temple in the Evening and then take a tour around the city of Kandy. We will visit the Kandy cultural show in the evening and then head over to our hotel for the night.
This is your second day at Kandy. Today you visit the lesser known Kandy Landmarks such as the Gem Museum and the Kandy Garrison Cemetery or Peradeniya Garden.
Later in the day we head towards the Yala National park. On the way we can visit the Rawana Water Fall and by afternoon we will arrive at the Yala camping site to get ready for the evening. We can go on a safari on the leopard trails and at the camp you can enjoy many camping activities. In the evening we can have campfire and listen to local stories about the wild & untamed jungle and you can fall asleep looking at the stars.
On day 6 of your trip we will travel to the town of Nuwara Eliya. We will pass many waterfalls such on the way to Nuwara Eliya and you will be able to traverse lush tea plantations and if you want you can experience the process of how these green leaves are turned into such a tasty beverage. You will be able to pluck your own tea and at the end of the day leave with the final product. We will spend the night in the beautiful & cool Nuwara Eliya town.
On the 7th day of our tour we will leave Nuwara Eliya to visit the beautiful region of Ella. Ella is a huge tourist hotspot these days and the region consists of the famous nine-arch railway bridge, the Little Adam’s Peak and the breathtaking view off the Ella Gap. You have the option grabbing the train from Nanu Oya station and travelling to Ella and take in the scenic route. We will stay overnight at Ella, falling asleep looking at beautiful views.
Every great journey has to end and this will be the end of your magical tour of Sri Lanka. Our representative will dive you to the Katunayaka airport where you can depart with the great memories and beautiful souvenirs that Sri Lanka had to offer, thinking of when you can return to this amazing country.
Today we can visit the landmarks that you missed on the first day such as the beautiful Ella Rock. We will spend the night again at Ella
We will leave early for the one of the most amazing wildlife parks in Sri Lanka with a trip to the Yala National park. On the way we can visit the Rawana Water Fall as well. This way we will be on time to go for the evening safari. The Yala National park is home to a large number of elephants, leopards and birds so this will be a treat. We will go to our Yala hotel for a well-earned rest.
We will head out into Galle at earliest possible. The City of Galle is the crowning jewel of Sri Lanka’s South coast and at the center of it is the Dutch Fort built during the 16th century. The entirety of the city inside the fort is like another world, with old colonial architecture dotting the land. There are plenty of landmarks to visit including the National Maritime Museum, The Dutch Hospital and the Galle Light house. After a tiring day of exploring we will head back to our hotel.
Second day at Galle you have the option of travelling to the Sinharaja rainforest to have a change in scenery or you can stay at Galle enjoying the amazing Sea, beaches & the activities it offers.
On your third day at Galle you can have the full blown out Yoga & Ayurvedic Treatment experience while learning about Sri Lankan cooking and food. This certainly will be a day to relax and wind down.
On the final day in our tour we will spend in Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka. Colombo is a bustling city housed on the Western coast of the country. It may be a city with giant skyscrapers but you can find plenty of historical landmarks pockmarked amongst them. You can visit those landmarks during the day time and at the night time enjoy the shopping and nightlife that Colombo has to offer before coming back to your hotel. You can also visit the amazing Spas in Colombo and purchase plenty of products to take back home with you.
