With its millennia of history & its rich culture which has been influenced by different sources over that time, Its white sandy beaches, wildlife, and flora Sri Lanka has huge amounts of appeal to a lot of visitors. But the issue is that you won’t have enough time to experience everything. That is the reason why we introduced the Lightning Tour Package so that we can show you all the main highlights of Sri Lanka within a short period of time.
When you arrive at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake a representative of our tour service will meet you. Depending on your arrival time you will then be taken to your hotel either in Negombo or directly to Sigiriya where you can get some rest for the night.
The next day in this in this beautiful country be ready to flex your muscles and climb the challenging world-famous rock fortress of Sigiriya. We will head to Sigiriya town early in the morning. This is a journey that will surely test your cardio and fitness but the view from the top of the fortress is breathtaking. The ancient architecture is sure to blow you away as well. After a tiring day we will go to our hotel where you have the option of getting some relaxing herbal spa treatments.
We will leave the hotel early and travel to the city of Kandy and on the way there we will visit the ancient cave temple complex of Dambulla. Kandy was the capital of the last kingdom of Sri Lanka. Nestled in the hill country it is the home to the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic of the Lord Buddha. We will visit the Temple in the evening and later in the day we will visit the other landmarks to be seen within the city of Kandy. We will visit the Kandy cultural show in the night and then head over to our hotel for the night.
On the 4th day of our tour we will leave Kandy to visit the beautiful region of Ella. Ella is a huge tourist hotspot these days and the region consists of the famous nine-arch railway bridge, and Little Adam’s Peak and the breathtaking view off the Ella Gap. You have the option grabbing the train from Nanu Oya station and travelling to Ella and take in the scenic route. We will stay overnight at Ella, falling asleep looking at beautiful views.
Today we can visit the landmarks that you missed on the first day such as the beautiful Ella Rock. We will spend the night again at Ella.
Early on day 5 of we head towards the Yala National park. On the way we can visit the Rawana Water Fall and by afternoon we will arrive at the Yala camping site to get ready for the evening. We can go on a safari on the leopard trails and at the camp you can enjoy many camping activities. In the evening we can have campfire and listen to local stories about the wild & untamed jungle and you can fall asleep looking at the stars.
We will head out into Galle at earliest possible. The City of Galle is the crowning jewel of Sri Lanka’s South coast and at the center of it is the Dutch Fort built during the 16th century. The entirety of the city inside the fort is like another world, with old colonial architecture dotting the land. There are plenty of landmarks to visit including the National Maritime Museum, The Dutch Hospital and the Galle Light house. After a tiring day of exploring we will head back to our hotel.
For the second day in Galle we can travel to the nearby town of Hikkaduwa which is a very famous tourist spot. It is dotted with beautiful white sandy beaches that you can spend hours on but it’s the activities that Hikkaduwa offers that make it more exiting. Hikkaduwa is a hotbed for activities such as surfing, diving or scuba diving. The sea around Hikkaduwa is encircled by undersea reefs that generate great surf as well as act as a perfect home for beautiful marine-life. You can spend the entire day in the water and still not be satisfied. The Turtle hatcheries in the surrounding areas are nice places to visit as well
